Lost and Found… and Told

I’m currently in the middle of reading “Requiem for a Paper Bag”. It’s a collection of short stories compiled by Davy Rothbert about the best lost, tossed items that they’ve found around the world. So far, my favourite find is a schoolboy’s list of what he knows about U.S. history found by Sarah Vowell. Reminds me of some of the things that I have found while walking down the street, or stuffed in the grocery cart (love notes seem to be high on the “tossed” list), or even here in the library (Why all the calculators?? How can you not notice that this lumpy thing is no longer taking up pencil space in your binder?). What have you come across?
